The event honored coaches and umpires from around the state with a dinner, annual awards and Hall of Fame inductions.
ille Middle School softball coach Amber (Ford) Winchester was honored by the Illinois Softball Coaches Association as the Class M Sectional Coach of the Year February 9 in Bloomington. The event honored coaches and umpires from around the state with a dinner, annual awards and Hall of Fame inductions. When Winchester began playing softball in the Nashville park league in grade school, it was unlikely that she was thinking it may become part of her future job. However, the educator has made a career not just out of teaching, but also coaching the sport she came to love.
