Nashville American Legion Supports Facility for Veterans
Nashville American Legion Post 110 continued its support of the Haven with the recent donation of 21 chairs for retreat on Crab Orchard Lake.
The Haven is a facility designed to assist in rehabilitation and provide a place for veterans to socialize and enjoy nature outside of a confined environment. It relies strictly on donations from organizations like the American Legion, VFW, and similar groups.
American Legion Post 110 shared approximately $3,500 to construct an outdoor pavilion at the Haven with proceeds from a very successful Queen of Hearts fundraiser.
The chairs will be used at the Haven to help accommodate veterans at functions throughout the year, as well as provide the opportunity for the facility to be rented to other organizations and groups.
American Legion Post 110 reminds residents that patronizing the local post helps local veterans as well as other veterans in need.
