Pizza Market Opening Okawville Location

A new pizza place is coming to Okawville next month.

Pizza Market from Trenton will open a second location in the former Eats and Treats building at the corner of St. Louis Street and Hanover Street.

The Victory II Restaurant and Lounge, which opened in August, closed its doors for the final time Sunday.

Pizza Market owner Evie Newell says she has had her eye on an Okawville location for some time.

“We had looked into opening a location in Okawville before, so when this place opened up, we already had some plans in place,” she said.

Newell said the Okawville location will offer a pizza and salad buffet for lunch, as well as delivery to the area.

Right now, work is being done to ready the location. Ovens and a soda machine from Excel Bottling are expected to be delivered soon.

Depending on the progress of the work, Newell says she hopes to be up and running by February 12. She says she may even try a soft opening before that.

Whitney Weeke will retain ownership of the building.

Pizza Market has been operating in Trenton since 1994. Newell has owned the business since 2016.
