Jr. Lady Rockets / Lady Titans Both State Bound

Both the ILS/TSJ Lady Titans and OJHS Lady Rockets Basketball teams have claimed their Regional Championships and are headed to State.

Jr. Lady Rockets’ Regional Play – Perfect Season Intact

The Okawville Junior High Lady Rockets’ perfect season continued as they earned a trip to state with two wins in the regional last week. Okawville opened postseason play with a lopsided 50-10 win over Carlyle last Tuesday. That win set up a regional championship with Breese, and OJHS claimed the trophy with a 41-25 win.

Their division of the state finals will be held at Rend Lake College in Ina, and the Junior Lady Rockets will face Pontiac Friday at 6 p.m.

Lady Titans’ Regional Journey

The Immanuel Lutheran/Trinity St. John Lady Titans topped St. Ann-Nashville 25-21 in the regional championship Saturday. In the first postseason game, the Lady Titans beat Elverado 61-14.

The first game of their division of the state tournament is Saturday, January 19 at 3:45 p.m. at Rend Lake Junior College.
