Marie Kolweier
Marie Kolweier of Okawville, IL departed this life in the Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, IL on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 1:08 A.M. She had attained the age of 86 years, 11 months and 8 days.

Marie Kolweier
Marie was born in Okawville Twp., Washington County, IL on December 18, 1931 the daughter of Harry and Emma (nee Engele) Brammeier. She was united in marriage to Roy Kolweier in the Zion United Church of Christ in Addieville, IL on October 30, 1954 and he preceded her in death on February 16, 2005.
Mrs. Kolweier was a homemaker and farm wife. She also worked as a cook at the Okawville Grade School. She was a faithful member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Addieville where she often volunteered to work the Wurst Markt. Marie was a former member of the Okawville American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing Pinochle, quilting and embroidery, and listening to polka music.
Left to mourn her passing is 20 nieces and nephews, Donna Keen, Ann Leadendecker, Terry Palek, Sherry Palek, Marcia Moehlenkamp, Norman Engelmann, Warren Steinkamp, Shirley Haake, Marvin Steinkamp, Wayne Kolweier, Kenneth Kolweier, Carol Kraft, Raymond Kolweier, Ruth Ann Richards, Robert Kolweier, Ronnie Kolweier, Rhonda Faye Isringhaus, Curtis Wolf, Leonard Wolf and Rose Mary Coffey; numerous great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Esther Palek, Elenora Moehlenkamp, Amanda Engelmann and Anna in infancy; two brothers, Vernon Brammeier and Lawrence in infancy; and three nephews, Roger Kolweier, Charles Palek and Glen Kolweier.
Funeral services will be held from the Zion United Church of Christ in Addieville on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11 A.M. with Rev. Bill Groennert officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Okawville on Friday from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. and again on Saturday from 8 A.M. until 9 A.M. then at the church on Saturday from 10 A.M. until the service hour.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Washington County Meals on Wheels Program or to the Zion United Church of Christ and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
