It took the vote of Mayor Dave Jasper to break the tie on a vote to increase the salary for police officer O’Neal to $24 an hour at the Okawville Village Board meeting Monday.
Mayor Jasper said that while he was in favor of salary increase, he has concerns with O’Neal’s job performance. He cited numerous complaints about speeders “I want results. Sitting in a driveway does not get results,”Mayor Jasper said.
Board members voting in favor of the increase were Josh Muehlhauser, Sarah Deterding, and Scott Cragen.
Voting against were Nathan Dick, Stacy Friedrich, and Steve Millikin….
