Jessie P. Armer

Jessie Armer of Okawville, IL departed this life in the emergency room of the Washington County Hospital in Nashville, IL on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 5:49 A.M. after a sudden illness. He had attained the age of 60 years and 12 days.

Jessie was born in East St. Louis, IL on June 3, 1958 the son of James M. and Maxine (nee Fitzgerald) Armer. He was united in marriage to Renee Kuehl in Addieville, IL on August 14, 1993 and she survives his passing.

Mr. Armer was a former fire fighter with the National City Fire Department. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and barbequing with friends and family.

Left to mourn his passing is his wife Renee of Okawville; five children, Michael Armer of Altus, OK, Cindy Garcia and husband Jose of Springfield, MO, Thomas Armer of Ashley, IL, Jessica Armer of Belleville, IL and Jake Armer of Addieville; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, James W. Armer and wife Linda of Addieville and Thomas Jefferson Armer and special friend Tina Houghlen of Belleville; several nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren, Courtney Armer and Dakota Ellerbusch; three sisters, Judy Bell Price, Bessie Adams and Cathy Eggemann; and a brother, Charles Dean Armer in infancy.

In accordance with the wishes of the family, cremation will be performed.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
